FACIAL MUSCLE TONNING

MICROCCURENT SKIN TONING

Microcurrent therapy helps strengthen facial muscles by stimulating the production of (ATP), formally known as adenosine triphosphate. ATP is the energy currency for our bodies, essential for many processes in our cells including muscle contraction. The low-grade electricity emitted from microcurrent devices stimulates ATP production, which allows for muscle contraction that strengthens facial muscles over time.

The greatest benefit about microcurrent facials is that most Clients will notice instant results, making it the perfect non-invasive skin care treatment. Microcurrent also doubles as a lymphatic drainage massage given the device hits a lot of pressure points in the face, so a more defined appearance is almost guaranteed.

Microcurrent facials tighten and smooth the muscles and connective tissues in the face and have been shown to reduce wrinkles, mostly around the forehead area. Clients will notice enhanced facial features and a more lifted, sculpted and awakened appearance. This treatment can also improve blood circulation and may stimulate collagen production in the dermis, resulting in healthier, more plump-looking skin.

Microcurrent therapy also offers a variety of non-cosmetic benefits, including faster wound healing, reduced pain from sinus congestion, and improved functioning of atrophied muscles.

The 411 On Microccurent

How long does a Microcurrent facial last?

After microcurrent therapy, it’s fairly common to see a little lift! Initial results with microcurrent usually last about 72 hours. This is where we like to reiterate that each microcurrent treatment builds upon the last. Cumulative microcurrent treatments ultimately build the strength in your facial muscles which helps them hold results from a microcurrent session longer. This is why microcurrent treatments need to be repeated in a full series.

How many microcurrent treatments are needed?

For results that last the longest, microcurrent must be repeated in a full series. We recommend a microcurrent facial every week for the first 6 weeks. After that point, you can move to 1 or 2 facials a month as maintenance sessions. Consistent treatments help re-educate the muscles and with each treatment your facial muscles grow stronger and hold the lift for longer.

What’s better: Microcurrent or Botox?

This decision really comes down to what you feel most comfortable with. When we compare microcurrent to its popular alternative treatment, Botox, the primary difference between treatments is that Botox freezes your facial muscles, causing them to atrophy. As a result, once Botox begins to wear off your skin may sag more than it did prior to the treatment.

IN THE TREATMENT ROOM

Ideal for dehydrated, aging and environmentally damaged skin. Microcurrent Skin Toning works organically to rejuvenate the skin as well as to re-educate facial muscles. By stimulating the efferent fibers at the origin and insertion points of each facial muscle, levels of ATP are increased thereby speeding cellular metabolism, stimulating protein synthesis, promoting detoxification and promoting collagen and elastin. SkinByGabby’s lifting techniques and advance modalities will reveal an immediately lifted appearance.

POST PROCEDURE

MUST HAVES

Made with hydrating Panthenol, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E to prompt the repair of damaged skin cells and cellular regeneration to unveil a tighter, lifted, and youthful complexion.

DermaEsthetics Intensive Wrinkle Serum - The ultimate defense against five common signs of aging: forehead lines, frown lines, crow lines, bunny lines, and smile lines. Made with multiple signal peptides that trigger collagen production, boost cellular repair, and smooth and blur facial lines. This formula improves skin contour and texture, while boosting skin elasticity, and brightening skin tone.

Don’t forget SPF IS A MUST! DermaEsthetics EGF FGF DNA Sun Protection formulated with EGF, FGF, & DNA growth factors shields against both UVA & UVB rays. A one of a kind SPF that not only protects but aids with aging.

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO GET MY SKIN TREATMENT READY?

  • No acutane

  • No face tanning or ANY sun exposure without the use of SPF.

No face injectables or fillers, e.g. botox.

  • No face waxing, threading, depilatory creams, bleaching.

  • Stop the use of over-the-counter Retinol products (if you are using a prescription Retin A or any medication that may make you photosensitive please contact us prior to appointment).

  • Drink plenty of water

Avoid caffeine 5 hours prior to your appointment time

    Do not wear any makeup

  • The FDA requires you consult and receive approval from your physician prior to receiving microccurent

  • May cause an allergic reaction

  • As with any cosmetic procedure, there is always a risk of complications

  • If you have been diagnosed with an active form of cancer, it is not recommended you receive a microcurrent treatment. This is because Cancer affects the cells of the body, and one of the primary benefits of microcurrent technology is its ability to boost Adenosine Triphosphate (or ATP) energy within the skin cells. This may cause complications.

  • A Microccurent Skin Toning treatment cannot be performed if skin is windburned.

  • This is because the electrical devices use an electrical current that keeps the devices working. Since microccurent also uses an electrical current, it can interfere with the electrical signal of a pacemaker or cochlear ear implant.

  • Because Epilepsy can be caused by abnormal electricity flow in neurons and cells of our bodies, we do not want to risk the safety of the individual by increasing the electrical current in the body with the application of microcurrent stimulation.

  • If you have a heart condition, microcurrent should only be performed after consultation and approval by your physician. This is an FDA requirement.

  • We recommend microccurent treatment prior to any invasive procedure like facial surgery - but it isn't recommended until healing from facial surgery is complete. This is best as to not disrupt the healing process of the surgery.
