For Acne and Oily Skin

HIGH FREQUENCY

High Frequency uses alternating currents which change direction extremely rapidly producing enhanced blood circulation and increased skin metabolism. A chemical reaction causes the emission of ozone. Ozone is a form of oxygen which has a germicidal effect, making it effective in treating acne.

High frequency increases oxygen in skin cells, improving the overall texture, tone, glow, and helps to treat acne problems. In addition, this treatment promotes collagen stimulation and elastin production, providing the skin a firmer appearance.

The 411 on High Frequency

Does high frequency kill bacteria?

High Frequency oxygenates the surface of the skin, kills P. acne bacteria, stimulates circulation and aids in detoxification, contracts blood vessels minimizing red inflamed skin. This kind of treatment also can aid in shrinking pores, reducing signs of aging and stopping persistent acne in its tracks.

Can high frequency be combined with any other treatment?

Because high frequency is so versatile, nearly all of our skin treatments can be combined with high frequency. Gabby especially loves incorporating high frequency with a chemical peel, using it as an extra skin clarification step in treating acne.

Will I feel the Electrical Current on my skin?

High Frequency is a low level oscillating currant that can be very soothing, relaxing and revitalizing. A slight tingling or zapping will be felt during treatment.

High Frequency

IN THE TREATMENT ROOM

  • The FDA requires you consult and receive approval from your physician prior to receiving high frequency

  • May cause an allergic reaction

  • As with any cosmetic procedure, there is always a risk of complications

  • If you have been diagnosed with an active form of cancer, it is not recommended you receive a high frequency treatment. This is because Cancer affects the cells of the body, and one of the primary benefits of high frequency technology is its ability to boost energy within the skin cells. This may cause complications.

  • This is because the electrical devices use an electrical current that keeps the devices working. Since high frequency also uses an electrical current, it can interfere with the electrical signal of a pacemaker or cochlear ear implant.

  • Because Epilepsy can be caused by abnormal electricity flow in neurons and cells of our bodies, we do not want to risk the safety of the individual by increasing the electrical current in the body with the application of high frequency.

  • If you have a heart condition, high frequency should only be performed after consultation and approval by your physician. This is an FDA requirement.

  • A high frequency treatment cannot be performed if skin is rosacea because heat based treatments are likely to cause further inflammation and redness

  • A high frequency treatment cannot be performed if you have broken blood vessels or capillaries because heat based treatments are likely to cause further inflammation.

  • Metal in the body including piercings or jewelry that is not removed prior to appointment cannot be treated as the high frequency may interfere with these devices.
