How Many Treatments Will I Need

To get the most from your BioRePeel experience, we recommend a minimum of 4 visits scheduled 7-10 days apart in the beginning, followed by monthly visits for optimal maintenance.

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO GET MY SKIN TREATMENT READY?

  • No acutane

  • No face tanning or ANY sun exposure without the use of SPF.

    No face injectables or fillers, e.g. botox.

  • No face waxing, threading, depilatory creams, bleaching.

  • Stop the use of over-the-counter Retinol products (if you are using a prescription Retin A or any medication that may make you photosensitive please contact us prior to appointment). Stop any exfoliating agents including AHA & BHA.

  • Drink plenty of water

    Avoid caffeine 5 hours prior to your appointment time

    Do not wear any makeup

CONTRAINDICATIONS TO LED LIGHT THERAPY

  • Medications that cause light sensitivity (such as Tetracycline)

  • As with any cosmetic procedure, there is always a risk of complications

  • Cancers that are actively growing, especially carcinomas, should not be exposed to red light therapy. Carcinomas are cancers that begin in epithelial tissues, commonly the skin, making them maximally exposed to the impact of red light therapy.

  • If you suffer from lupus erythematosus, photosensitive eczema or albinism you may cause a severe skin reaction.

  • People with epilepsy may be at risk for having a seizure when using red light therapy. Inherent to almost any light source is a phenomena called flicker. Flicker can be invisible to the eye, but causes rapid fluctuation in the intensity of light. People with epilepsy may be susceptible to flicker in red light panels and could experience a seizure if the flicker is severe or if they are particularly sensitive.

  • If you suffer from any photosensitive disorder (sensitization to light) you may cause a severe skin reaction.

  • A LED Light treatment cannot be performed if skin is rosacea because heat based treatments are likely to cause further inflammation and redness

  • A LED Light Therapy treatment cannot be performed if you have broken blood vessels or capillaries because heat based treatments are likely to cause further inflammation.

  • Salicylic Acid is derived from Asprin
